Sculpture “Hope” permanently installed in Daejeon, South Korea
The artist supervised the installation of the sculpture at the site.
During the creation of the sculpture, the artist stayed in Korea many times, supervising the creation and assembly of elements, patination and installation on site. It took one week to assemble and install this monumental sculpture. The sculpture was cast from 7 tons of bronze and it is 9,5 m high. It is permanently installed at KAIST University, in Daejeon, South Korea.
The sculpture was installed at the end of May and beginning of June 2024.
The official unveiling is scheduled for 25th of June 2024.
This is another monumental bronze sculpture by Tomasz Koclęga created in Asia. Three years ago, the artist created a work on a similar scale in India, which was permanently installed in New Delhi.
Koclęga has numerous monumental sculptures installed in public spaces on three continents.
